I have noticed that it doesn't matter what type of health care setting one is involved in that psychiatric patients will always be encountered. Actually I believe more time should be spent on the psychiatric aspect of nursing, but this is just my personal opinion. I work in a doctors office and believe you me I have seen it all.

  1. I agree, Melissa. Of all the conditions/diseases that are readily seen, I feel the least comfortable taking care of those that suffer from conditions within the mental illness realm. In my opinion, that discomfort comes from lack of knowledge.
